  ஒருவனுக்கு அறம் செய்வதைவிட மேலான நன்மையைத் தருவது வேறு எதுவுமில்லை; அந்த அறத்தைச் செய்யமால் விடுவதைவிட மேலான கேடும் வேறில்லை.

  No greater gain than virtue aught can cause;
  No greater loss than life oblivious of her laws.
• Meaning
  There can be no greater source of good than (the practice of) virtue; there can be no greater source of evil than the forgetfulness of it.
