  வஞ்சிப்ப தோரும் அவா.

  ஒருவன் அவாவிற்கு அஞ்சி வாழ்வதே அறமாகும். ஏனென்றால் ஒருவனைச் சோர்வு கண்டு வஞ்சிப்பது அந்த அவாவே ஆகும்.

  Desire each soul beguiles;
  True virtue dreads its wiles.
• Meaning
  It is the chief duty of (an ascetic) to watch against desire with (jealous) fear; for it has power to deceive (and destroy) him.
